How approval and attribution work
- Send the requested channel, audience, and promotion information by email.
- Product fit, promotion method, and the current checkout and delivery path are reviewed.
- If approved, the applicable rate and current tracking method are confirmed in writing before promotion begins.
- Only completed, properly attributed sales to real external customers can qualify for commission.
No cookie duration is promised on this page. Attribution follows the tracking method issued after approval and Gumroad's then-current affiliate rules.
Commission and payout terms
- Commission eligibility and any payout are subject to Gumroad's own affiliate and payout rules.
- A refunded or charged-back sale does not create commission, or the commission may be reversed.
- Payout timing is not guaranteed.
- Self-referrals, related-party test purchases, fake transactions, and other non-genuine customer sales do not qualify.
- Program access, rates, products, and availability may change; any change applies only after written notice or updated terms.
Promotion standards
- Clearly disclose that you may earn a commission.
- Do not use spam, unsolicited mass email, bulk direct messages, or deceptive redirects.
- Do not invent customers, testimonials, scarcity, revenue, performance, rankings, or product capabilities.
- Do not buy, trade, or incentivize fake reviews or false endorsements.
- Use current product pages, prices, limitations, and disclosures. Do not present a visual demo's fictional placeholder claims as real business results.
Violation of these standards can end participation and make the related sale ineligible, subject to the platform's rules and applicable law.
